this started out as a wiper motor repair

The wipers quit on my F-350, the cowl looked a little rough so I figured I'd touch up the paint a bit, then the hood....then it ended up the with painting the rest of it. 6 agco rattle cans later and she's good as new.

Thanks. 4 new rear tires will be here tomorrow and if the paint has cured enough, the roof will get a few coats of white. Yeah, i'm a little bit off side but I like it.

Looks good and it Should last you a long time. Fifteen years ago or so I repainted my white 79 Dodge 3/4 ton with international harvester white enamel. Now I call the color "Dodge Cream" LOL. I bondoed the rust holes, sanded the whole pickup cab (it has a flatbed) to rough it up, and painted it. Still looks pretty decent though it's garaged all the time and rarely driven in the winter. The bondoed places look a little wavy but from a distance you can't see them.

Looks good and will probably last longer than the paint job on my 86 F-150. I bought it three years ago with a new paint job. Six months later there were two or three places where the paint had turned loose from rust underneath, and in about a year the clear coat was beginning to peel. Now it looks like, well, you know what. I told the man I bought it from that I didn't know you could apply paint that thin.

Most likely he didn't sand the truck before painting it. Prep is 90% of a paint job - some people try to get by with power washing then apply the paint.
