Labor Day tractor shows seem to have had a lower turn out...

I was talking to a fellow that is involved with the MT. Pleasant show. He said the show had a smaller turn out this year. Also they had 50 fewer exhibiters and almost 100 fewer tractors at the show.

I did not hear what the Official numbers where at the Rock River Show but it seemed like there where fewer exhibiters, tractors and people there as well. As you can see by my pictures there where not loads of people there.

How did some of the other show do???

I also did not see the car traffic on the road like most holiday weekends.

Our labor day show in the past had around 130 parade entries and probably that many tractors total, not to mention cars, trucks, and Other parade floats. This year there were maybe 15 tractors but over 50 cars. Attendance was down by a third also. In a way this is fine since the help was under an enormous amount of pressure due to not enough help. I think the fact of all the rain we have been having and maybe tractors have kind of run their course for a bit contributed to this. Not the end of things, just people looking for something "new". Fortunately for us our car show is just getting off the ground so we kind of have something new.

Weather could have played a part with the attendance this year at Mt Pleasant. We drove up from Arkansas to the Farm Progress Show on Tuesday. Intended to go Mt Pleasant later in the week. Weatherman kept calling for rain during the latter part of the week and weekend, so we left and came home. Heard on TV they said the attendance was down for the first 2 days of the Farm Progress Show also.

Rain hurt Mt Pleasant tractor #S were high admission fee was higher and lack of venders arent there because of fees. 900 tractors i would say is pretty big any where and if you count garden ones figure is even higher. Foot trafic in tractor area was down but again rain doesent help the forecast didnt help either. Lots or Olivers as they were featured.

I didn't go to the "big" show here this year, but I heard there were some disappointed people. This show moved last year, and it just isn't the same as it was in the old place.

The White Pine Show that Jon posted photos and videos of had a record number of tractors registered for the show. Didn't hear an exact number but I know it has been 250+ in years past, so it had to be more than 250. This was the 36th year I believe for that show in MN.

Went to Rollag over the weekend. "Modern" tractors were thinner, the same bunch of prairie tractors. They featured construction equipment, so there was less equipment in that area. But there were way more people there than I care to be around. Looked like a good spectator turn out to me.

Yep. The threshers didn't make it this year, I'm not sure why. They did run the Avery thresher and the little Champion thresher. I think they were just short of help.

West Liberty, Ohio. Would say it was as high any time in amount of tractors and verry good croud considering all the rain we got. Almost did not get pull going on sunday, water setting on track in morning, got going about 12:30. Before we got 1 class done the rain came and had 2" water on top of track. 5 minutes after we called the Pull the sun came out. Show Saterday, sunday and monday

Our little local show had about half of what it normally does and almost no visitors. Rain scared away a lot of entries and people coming out. They also had it off the far end of the festivities, and a lot of people didnt know it was there.
