The local threshing show was awful small this year at the labor day celebration. However the car show had a decent turnout.

I like the pictures. Problem with car shows out here on the left coast, is the cars are all jacked up with motors as big as the cars, carburators sticking through the hood. Tires 20 inches wide. I was at a car show a few weeks ago, and only seen a few real stock as built by the factory cars. I don't mind a little over stock. Some of them just go too far. Then it's their car, and their money. Nice pictures, thanks for posting. I remember my dad talking about the 1949 Ford he bought new. It had a 6 cylinder in it and it got between 22-26 mpg. Gee we have come such a long way with miles per gallon since then lol.

Thanks for the pictures and memories Greg! That 54 mercury is exactly the car my wife and I used, to haul our babies, and kids around in, same color and 2 dr. hdtp, the only exception was, we didn't have the sun visor.

Fewer people as time goes on that have ties and connection with farming and equipment.

That being said everyone has connection and needs for cars and trucks.

That Model T truck looks exactly like one I started hauling grain with when I was 12.

Ours had a grain box on the back instead of a flatbed.
