And then spend half the night stewing about never getting anything done. I made a list on paper earlier this week. I am knocking stuff down like nine pins. Good feeling.

I can't get as much done during the day because I'm too tired from spending the night laying awake thinking about the things I still need to do! What bugs me is when I can't sleep because I know I need to get up extra early the next morning. It compounds the 'tired' problem the next day. Jim

If you can't quit thinking about that stuff, try turning on a radio- low volume, but loud enough that you can hear and understand what's being said. A news station, or especially NPR (National Public Radio- for a practical person, its about the dullest stuff on the planet) are best, for me. Listening to talk will prevent your mind from dwelling on your problems, and will usually put you to sleep.

Still do that on rare occasion. Getting less frequent the longer I"m retired. My way is to do three deep breaths, holding each for about 3 seconds, letting each out slowly and telling my body to relax starting at my feet and legs on the first breath, torso and arms on the second and then ???ZZZ.
Takes practice.
