HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY TWO SPEED TRANNY ON THE HIGH SIDE ..AFTER LOOKING AT MANY POST IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH MY TWO SPEED EXTERNAL LINE THAT IS CLAMPED ONTO THE TWO SPEED ASSEMBLY HAS COME OFF IT LOOKS LIKE INSTEAD OF SPLITTING THE TRACTOR I CAN GO THRU THE CLUTCH CONTROL VALVE CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME EXACT LOCATION OF THIS HOUSING ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED..

Removing the clutch operating valve provides the ONLY access you are going to get to that internal area without a tractor split.

The valve in question is attached to the side of the clutch housing casting basically below your left foot. (area circled in red on this too-small photo.)

Trouble is, the possible broken clip is on the OTHER (right) side of the hi-lo pack, so you have to work through that opening and somehow reach around to the backside of the part you are able to see and replace the clip with an updated part.

That being said, I have worked on may share of those planetary packs, but have never attempted the repair in the method discussed here, so I can"t be of any more help!

I hope you have run through the troubleshooting flowchart in the service manual and are SURE this is the problem before tearing into it. On the other hand, if it does have to be split from the engine and the planetary puller for repairs, the valve has to be removed anyway, you you are not out anything by trying.
