a friend of mine was trying to figure out what this came off of.

I told her I knew just the bunch of guys who'd be able to tell her.

Your reputation's at stake here guys, don't let me down.

gm from the late 40's early 50's given time i can probably narrow it down to the exact car, i have new car pics from 1940 to 1979 but ill have to spend some time looking, we'll see if somebody knows imeadatly somebody here probably owns this car

well i give some of the cars dont have a good in focus shot of the rear, a '41 chevy has something similer but its a fuzzy pic so its either missed in my books from the 40's and '50's or its older than 1940 which is possible after about 1936 the cars began to have the big fuller bodies on them,

Here's a key piece of the puzzle she just told me, it MAY not even be an American car. She thinks it is, but isn't sure.

So - that makes things a lot more difficult.

Chrysler product was my first hunch but the vertical lines mimic a Buick grille. But it might not be American? If it's not American I'm totally lost.

Late 40's or early 50's Buick. If I remember correctly, my mother's 52 Buick had something very similar.
