An 1946 Carnation ad

When we were kids, a cousin of mine who was about six years old at the time announced at a family gathering that she had a poem to recite.

She recited the rhyme that's on the link. You probably could have heard the gasps and dishes rattling in the next county.

I'll have to ask her sometime if she remembers that.

That's classic, I'm surprised that I never heard
about it as my Father's Insurance Company was in the
Carnation Building on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles
back in the late 1940's & early 1950's .

Having a Carnation plant a mile away,an uncle working there and my dad and myself hauling milk in there,I was familiar with it,but just slightly different. I'd always heard it: Carnation milk's the best in the land, just because it comes in a can. No teats to pull,no chit to pitch, just poke two holes in the son or a blich.
