I use a Stens air filter 100-016 on my 20 hp kohler. Now I'm retired, I have more time to search the internet to find good deals. I can't believe what they want for a simple air filter. Why do they want so much for a small engine filter vs a car filter, I don't know?

Well I bound a Stens air filter 100-016 at sears online for $6.99 free shipping to sears stor. If you find a better deal, let me know.

So, if you want to save some money air filters, try sears on line. Haven't tried to buy other things for mowers there.

I placed order on 08-07-14, got email order was in 5 days later. 08-12-14. I'm happy. Your problem may have been with Stens, not sears.
 
Well, if that little air filter makes you nearly stroke out, HOW about the pleated paper filters for "ShopVacs"... A filter that would be $3 to$5 if it fit a car is $15 to $20!

Don't think I'm having a stroke, just trying to save a dime. Thought you would be interested in saving a dime too.

It was new for me to buy something and have it shipped to sears and get free shipping.

Go to ebay and search for the filter listed, after shipping some are about twice what I paid.

Did I really sound upset?

Agree my sears shop vac filters are more than pricey.
 
Sears is just the middle man. On quite a few orders. Order Onan parts and they come straight from the Onan warehouse.
 
Yes, stens sends them to sears. Sears doesn't carry stens. Stens is using sears as a retailer/drop off point. SO? The same stens filters at the small engine repair shop is more costly.
