OT. I didn't find a Forum title for this so I thought I'd stick it here.

Go to the Google search engine and load "dragonfly drone". Go to the treehugger listing and watch the video. Then go to Wikipedia in the same Google index and read up on the specs........."autonomous surveillance" is one of the listings for use.

The recent article posted here about a guy catching one in his barn in a net prompted me to think about the subject. Crooks will have a field day with this.

Bad part is that the price target is $100 and controllable from your smart phone with a 30 minute flying time.

Not good news.

The electronics industry has taught the younger generation that you don't need ethics, honesty, morality nor integrity - just do what ever you want as long as it is electronic, including price gouging, and general taking the customers for all you can get.

My sentiments exactly.

I came up in the old school. Moonlighting from my day job I fixed televisions and assorted things. Back then convergence on color sets was a nightmare.

Enter the digital world. No convergence, no reliability problems, everything is from the orient and in a chip and works forever. Gone is the day when you had to use your mind to trouble shoot a problem, work through the semantics of the thing and come up with an answer.

Totally different world. I'm happy that I figure I'm good for 13 more years and will be rid of the whole shebang.

But I do have digital electronics and enjoy them, no doubt. One thing I especially like is a wide screen TV that weighs about 30# rather than the 150# my Sony 27" boob tube weighed.

Us common folks need to get a few hundred of them and fly them into the White House, the Congress and the Supreme court and see what really goes on behind closed doors.

Except for real matters of national security there should be NO behind closed door meetings in our government.
 
I"m hoping they build one that will hunt for me -just like a hunting falcon. The only part I am not sure of is whether I want it to have talons to capture the prey or shoot little miniature missiles to knock the prey out of the sky!
 
Well, now you tell me! If"n you had told me that when I was 7 instead of 70, maybe I could have avoided some of my worst "wish gets" that helped make life a challenging, but interesting, voyage!
