A local church invited my wife and a couple of other musicians to play at their annual ice cream social last week. Here are a a couple of clips.

It"s hard for the fiddler to upstage the banjo on this tune, but she gives it a shot.

More old time than Bluebgrass, this was a favorite during the Civil War.

Fun video Tom and good banjo pickin n fiddling around. That bass keeps a good thumpin time also. I didn't take up the Banjo until after age 60 so I'll never amount to much but still am havin fun at jams and can keep time. I play at Scruggs style but I can play "old timey" better then hard core bluegrass as its fairly simple n easy to follow. To me a good song is one I've never heard before but am still able to take a break after the first verse yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Love to hear the fiddler play Ragtime Annie, my al time favorite fiddle tune.

John T Only a banjo picker wannabee grrrrrrr

They get together to play at Salsa"s restaurant near the Bedford turnpike interchange every Wednesday from 7 to 9. Stop in some time.

Here is a link to my cousin, he plays bluegrass and Celtic for a living. That is my dad's guitar in the picture, I gave it to him after dad passed away.

You mention Ragtime Annie, 92 Year old fiddle Player that i play with in our little band won Grand Champion Old Tyme Fiddler at the Indiana State Fair on Sat. Aug. 9, That is one of the songs he played, also Sweet Georgia Brown and The Wednesday Night Waltz. He is still going strong, this was so good for him as he just lost his wife a month ago, she was also 92. we play at 3 nursing homes each month & a couple jams each month. lots of fun for 5 old guys.
