Got the bush hog back on the case 530 had the blade on it using it to flatten out dirt to put a wood floor in the barn I'm finally getting better at lining up with implements may only have 2 that we use well 1 till I started using the tractor. Going to try to do grandmas woods later this week and maybe the rest of our field if its dry enough

No matter how many times I watch the old movie about hooking an 8N to an implement almost entirely from the seat, I still can't get it straight enough. I wish that I had bought a couple of those quick hitches 20 years ago.

Lol you think your straight then your not I'm lucky that blade
isn't to hard to move haha. What year is your 8n? We have a
51 or 52 here I'm almost done rebuilding just waiting on a
new used head

I have the same thought watching the video where the guy hooks a snap coupler plow up to a WD from the seat. I seem to have to work it to put it on or take it off, and the ground never seems to be flat enough for me to just back in and get it to line up in the snap coupler bell housing underneath either. Tsk!

I have a Ash pry bar about 5 feet long, I can move it around with that. I never set it directly on the ground, always on a cedar post. We just upgraded from a 5 foot KK to a 6 foot Bush Hog, a little heavier!

Thanks for all the replies! I'll have to look up that video. I'll reline the tractor before I try to move the bush hog haha. David I will be I know these things can be very dangerous so i take what safety precautions I can

Good to see somebody waiting until August to use the rotary cutter . I don't know why so many people are so keen to get out there is the spring . They destroy the nests and young animals then stand there dumbfounded wonder where all the wee forest creatures went.

Around here we like to mow before the weeds go to seed and multiply, so we like to get out by the third week of June. I will never get 1/100th as many nests and young animals with my brush hog as I do with my discbine.
