Old International

Another one of my old Internationals. Took the B110 out for a short spin yesterday and took a picture of two beside the blooming flax field. If we can get another month without hail or frost it might make a decent crop.

Great picture- neat old truck, and thanks for telling us what the crop is (you saved some time, because you can bet the first person who replied would have asked).

The flax is looking it's best now in full bloom. Of course I picked one of the best spots in the field for a photo. There are plenty of patches died out due to the extreme rainfall of late June. Weeds come up to fill in the gaps. But the good patches are really nice. So thick and tall it is hard to walk through.

I used to work on a few of those pickups when they were new. Speaking of flax, haven't seen a field in many years around west central Minnesota but just wondering about weed control. That was always a huge problem with flax. Any sprays that can be used on it now days.

For sure. Although not as many options as cereals, flax has a few good weed control herbicides. Centurion does a great job on grassy weeds and most broadleafs. I also used good old avadex liquid on one field since it has group 2 resistant wild oats in it and avadex is about the only option to control them in flax.
