Pull behind Rough Cut Mowers

Have a few places on the parents property where the renter (bto) Can't or won't be bothered to deal with the weeds. He ripped it all up and now its too wet to plant. Its too wet to even get my little te20 ferguson in. So I'm looking for a rough cut mower to haul behind the quad or my kubota b7100. Any suggestions?
Gonna use it on the food plots too.

behind a quad, i'd look at the swisher rough cut trail mower. its a pull behind 44 in cut brush mower. has its own engine. i have a swisher 60 inch pull behind finish mower and have had it for 6 years already, no problems. heres a link

I saw these, thanks for the link. Peavey Mart sells those, about a hour away for a dealer. i also found these.
Dealer is 5 miles away. wonder how they stack up?

They come up quite often on Craig,s list. One behind your b1700 would work fine but why not a 4 ft bushhog (rotary cutter). Would be cheaper and easier to find. Most time the B will not pick them up but pto wise they will cut pretty good stuff, just keep the radiator clean.

I have a flail mower for my B7100, but I would like something a bit faster. Some of these areas are mile+ away from the house. The tractor also has a frame on the front end that gets hung up really easily kinda makes the 4x4 useless in mud.

Maybe it would be a good idea to look for some Wider rear tires..
Some decent used ones should not be hard to find..

I seldom have your problem, with my jd 520, with worn-out 15.5x 38" on it..they only require about 4 lbs of air and that is good..they were on my JD 720 when I got it and they looked like "May-Pops" at 14lbs pressure..but look just fine at 4 or 5 lbs..

glennster,
If I needed one, I would make one using a 33 inch snapper deck and install a 30 inch blade. Put wheels and hitch on it. Then install a vertical shaft engine. I got an 10 hp engine with electric start and a craftsman riding mower, minus the rear end which was bad, for $25 off cragslist.

With the used parts I have, bet I could build one for the price of a snapper deck. Why snapper, because they use a heavy single blade and a strong deck.

I bought a used Kunz I pull it with my Honda Foreman it will cut anything it can run over good machine

Simple.

Find a different BTO.

BT,DT, had to do that myself a few years back.

If you are worried about the weeds going to seed, can you get close enough to spray them, or knock them down with a wide spike-tooth harrow?

For small areas a sythe or a string trimmer can get the job done, but it's a lot of work.

I have the swisher 24" "stroll" behind rough cut mower. It' s as good as the DR mower we see advertised all the time and for alot less money. If the tow behinds are as well built as the walk behind units are you would be OK.
George if you build your own find a way to make the blade belt driven. If the blade is driven directly off the crankshaft and it hits somthing fairly solid you'll end up with a bent shaft. The belts absorb the shock and spare the crankshaft.
Thomas I really think your best bet would be 4' 3point "hog"
