Re: Ford LGT 165

Hello All
I'm trying to purchase the correct CD with service, parts and etc.,
from repairmanuals4u. The appropriate tags are no longer on the tractor.
Who knows what years the 165 was manufactured with the PTO shaft extending along the left side of the frame with fore and aft carrier bearings, support block in center and is belt driven?
Thanks in advance.
Also, could Larry from Canada shoot me an email as I' like to see a photo of the battery box he sells for the 165?
Thank's folks,
Thomas

The early (prior to 1977) LGT tractors did not
have the side covers over the engine.
The engines on these early models were mounted to
the frame by welding the oil pan directly to the
side rails.
The later tractors had the side covers and the
engine was mounted in a cradle with rubber
isolation dampeners which reduced vibration
through the tractor frame.
I have a couple of LGT 165s of the later vintage.
The last 4 digits of the model number for the 1977
and up tractors is 3337. eg: one of mine has model
#09JC3337.
Does this help?

Hello Brian
The pan is welded to the frame on this one.
The V.I.N. plate is not in the location as per the CD I did receive.
The tractor has not been restored or refinished and has the original paint in that area. I'd ordered the CD for the 72'-77' as the photos in the data sheets I've looked at on their site had the side covers you'd mentioned on the late 77'-83'.
I attempted to upload photos to help in my query and am having trouble. I'll try again before I send this to you. If the photos are attached we're good. If not, could you let me know how?
Thank's
Thomas.
I'm using the "choose Files" loading the photos but they will not attach to the text as in other forums.

As for the PARTS catalogs, you can view them on-line, or download/print them.

Hello folks
The Kohler is a 74' model. Given it's welded to the frame I'll assume the tractor is same year.
Still, the service manual I have on CD as well as looking up parts list on New Holland (thanks to that fella) show absolutely nothing as relates to the PTO shaft that extends from rear of frame to front.
Are there administrators that can clue me into uploading photos I have?
I'm selecting upload photos, choosing file, opening photos. It shows photos in the correct area. It will not load into text area.
Also, I'd still like to know which companies, if any, has, or can make up the decals when I restore?
Third, and last, does anyone have, or can supply information as to whom may have the PPG numbers for the blue and the white paint?
Thank's
Thomas
