OT - pickup truck value?

Hey guys, a guy just stopped and wanted to buy my
old Chevy pickup. It"s a 94 2500 4wd that has
been off the road for 5 years or so now. Lot of
rust underneath and wouldn"t pass inspection
anymore.

This guy is looking for a parts truck. Any ideas
as to what it might be worth? I looked around the
internets a little but can"t find anything for
parts value.

Well, we just bought a 2000 2500 4wd, crew cab, short box. Just a little over 200000 and we paid $2000 for it. The other one we bought a few months ago is a 1995 1500 4wd ext cab, short box, just a little over 210000 and we paid $3000 for it. Both are very good running, and very reliable trucks...

2500 has a 454
and the 1500 has a 350... Bryce

Any working & driving 4X4 is worth minimum $1000 around here. 3/4 ton even more.

Last fall I bought a 98 rust free gmc 1500 diesel 150 k ml on it for $4500.
And i bought a 07 GMC 3500 duramax SRW fully loaded 248 k ml.
air bags winch for $4300 this february.

IMOA rusted out 94 with a gas job is worth nothing

Salvage yards will buy vehicles. Ask a few what they would pay you for your truck and go up from there.

IMHO, it"s worth scrap value at the very least.
I"ve parted out many vehicles over the years and it
is not unusual to find practically new parts that
were installed just prior to someone making the
decision to not pour any more money into the vehicle!
Rusted out underneath? "Sometimes" doors and body
parts are still good.

A gmc 1500 with a diesel? Never heard of that but I'm a Ford guy.

A gmc 1500 with a diesel? Never heard of that but I'm a Ford guy.

ll GMC and Chevy trucks suburban and tahoe's could be ordered with a diesel engine since they came out with the the first 6.2 in what..82?
