My lights haven't worked on this tractor since the eighties after an electrical fire. The block heater had shorted out and melted some of the wiring. Tractor chains had also beat up the fender wiring. While getting parts at local auto parts store I saw the amber lights for the fenders they were only $10 a piece! I had sold this tractor in 1994 and bought it back in 2011 it was in non working condition with ebay ,craigslist and Agco dealer for parts its working again. Greg

that was pretty cool that you could buy it back after 17 years and get it running again, lights are always nice to have in case it gets dark faster than it's supposed to.

Thanks Jen, my dad had bought the tractor new in 1973 and only rear end frame and front grill and wide front are original I had repowered it with a 1650 diesel in 1991 that engine now has a spun bearing I found 1650 gas engine on craigslist for $400 runs good! Thanks, Greg

Job well done! I finished yesterday rewiring a 1555 and got all the gauges and all the lights working on it. With 3 different wiring diagrams I still have wires not hooked up and have no idea what there for but everything works and it runs good. Glad to hear you got her back and up and running and keeping it in the family. Oliver green dose grow on you. Bandit

Yeah, I used my I&T wiring diagrams when I put gas engine in. I had wiring harness from 1650 diesel parts tractor that I was able to reuse to get it running. You should of seen lady at the tire shop when I paid for front tires and my wife told her the tractor doesn't even have an engine! I told her one piece at a time like the Johnny Cash song! Greg

1555.side panels were from 1650 industrial. I read your post about your new building project and working over old structure this picture is from a book called Too Wet To PLow. That's my dad on the left me in the middle and helper Paul on the right. That was 1988 ex wife holding baby who now drives for UPS. My other little boy works for NCR in Atlanta now. 1950T is on spreader past the feed bin. Thanks for looking. Greg

That sure looks familiar. I've been using the 1365 and loader to lift header boards and to stand in while I drive nails.

1555 with a 1650 engine. Now you've got me curious. Isn't the 1555 engine an inch shorter than the 1650 engine? I'm thinking the 1555 uses a different PTO shaft. Which one did you use and how well did the drive sprockets line up for the chain coupler? It'd be great to know for future reference. The question about that transplant has been asked many times.

I'm back! First time I cut like 3/4 off pto and if you have seen input shaft on 1555 there is a groove on input shaft that's were I cut it off. This was done out of necessity original engine was tired and I was broke farm boy. I also had the 1650 loader with reverseotorqe that was slipping. Second time had tranny problem and put new input shaft and pto shaft and drilled new holes in frame the second owner did that not me. Flywheel from 1555 also was used on 1650 as was injection pump that I was told wouldn't work! I got a video of me pulling this tractor three years after the first transplant. Greg
