Some Sask. Scenery

Nice scenic day here in Sask. with blue sky, white clouds and blooming canola. I took a few pics while out baling hay this afternoon including this one.

Great lookin' tractor you have there rusty. Is that a 2090? Looks like you had great weather for baling too.

Yes , its a 2090, 8 speed standard shift. You don't find a lot of them. Almost perfect haying weather after a few spots of rain this morning. Threat of thunderstorms inspired me to get it done today and not take a chance on tomorrow. Here is some video of the raking operation yesterday. I roll two 9 foot swaths into one to save wear and tear on the baler.

Rusty, do you use cutter bees to pollinate alfalfa in your area? We saw a few fields with cutter bee tents in the Humboldt Sask area a few years ago. Jim

Nice picture Rusty. Whenever I see a picture of your 2090 I miss my 2290, had it for 26 years.

Are things drying up around there?

Jim, I've had this old 2090 since about 1981, over
7000 hours ago. Its been a good one. Dried up
surprisingly well in the fields here. Although some
of the sloughs are still up way beyond normal levels
and will likely stay that way. The municipality
still has a few washed out roads to repair.

Not in my immediate area Jim. I just hope there is enough wild bees to pollinate the canola.

Always enjoy your pictures and videos. Especally those with your 40 and 50 Cockshutt's in them! I have eight Cockshutt's so i might be a little biased! What part of the "land of living skies" do you live in? My inlaws are in Saskatoon and I am near Ottawa. Keep posting, they are appreciated. There is a Facebook Cockshutt club group you might enjoy also.
