Field corn looks like could be 220+ bu corn. Mother Nature been generous with rain in Corn Belt. So IN within 1 or 2 degrees of all time record of lowest -- high daily temperature for 7-15.

Looks nice!

We got nothing like that around here, not near tasseling, still spraying the little beans. I still have a small field of corn to spray.

I was out tedding hay a few days ago and took a couple of pics of one of my fields. Even for being close to a month behind last years, it looks as good as we have ever had.....

Corn and beans look great. Whatever your doing, I would keep doing it.
What type of soils do you have and how deep is the topsoil?

Much easier to raise bumper crops when one receives timely rains. My soil isn't nearly as good but corn and beans look nearly as awesome. But it is a regular phenomena in his area. In contrast this is only the third above average/bumper crop we have experienced in the last 15 years.

Our soil profiles aren't all that great. We have about a foot or so of topsoil, and then a sandy loam soil overall. It's also somewhat stony, and has been eroded by the older methods (plowing and tillage) for some 200 years. I use no-til almost exclusively with some light disking in some cases, and a good cover crop and as much manure as I can get.

Wow, nice! Can you haul me a couple loads of that dirt next time you come down this way? I need to dilute out some of my flint rocks and grow some corn that looks that good!

Various sources say that so far the crops look the best in 20 years. Wanna see $3.50 or even $3.00 corn?

wow, looking good. :) it looks like it grew just in the time you and your wife stood next to it, nice pics, thanks for sharing. :)
