That is really neat, but other than Lake Michigan I thought the US and Canada shared the Great lakes (not the "American" lakes as the article reads)

Dosen't say where on Lake Erie it's located,Pa or Ohio,definitely not N.Y. off hwy 5.

It is on South Bass Island, which is near Sandusky, Ohio. Put-in-Bay is on South Bass Island and is a nice summer tourist place.

I remember when the Ford was still a "working girl".

In the early '60s I worked for a different shipping company, but one of the ships I was on could have been taken for an identical twin to the Ford but ours was a bit larger.

The ship was literally "home" for 9-10 months of the year when the 'Lakes weren't frozen solid.
