is there someone out there that can braid = splice a cable. we have a steam powered marry go round that takes a end list cable and must be done on site this is at Madison SD i/2 cable

Check with the local power company / utility yard
My uncle long gone power line worker was very talented at doing it.

Any ski areas around? Chairlift cables have to be spliced if you could find the guys that do it. I helped splice a ropetow rope many years ago but haven't tried anything myself.
