New Tires-Readfy for Farming

We finally got new tires for the Farmall M. Old ones
were about to fly apart. The new ones are 8 ply and
pretty stiff. My son mounted them in his garage.
Says it took him 15 minutes on one and 20 minutes on
the other. He says the proper lubricant is the key
to it all. These should last us several weeks.
Probably 2000 weeks at the rate we use the tractor.
Probably use it 10 or 12 hours every year.

Btter than that. Geeze---I just can't get this keyboard to understand what I am trying to do.
Dumb Keyboard!

Nice looking set of skins there. If you would like I will break them in for you I would only put about 30 weeks or so on them LOL

I Would imagine one would be surprised at the number of tractor tires that are replaced because they are just dry rotted rather than worn out from use.

You should get a lot of miles out of those treads. I just threw on a new set that replaced a couple of tires with darned near 100 percent tread, but the sidewalls were so badly cracked they pinched the tubes. The new ones are four plies and they ride smoother than the old ones did. This is a 3500 pound tractor. Jim

Thanks for the info. Seems like there isn't much of anything that is US made anymore.
If those are 8ply, they ought to be some pretty stout tires.
