Getting a dumb thing fixed.

I have put the fan into the radiator twice on the MH44, this time it did not hurt anything. I have the part at the machine shop getting repaired.

The water pump has a slide on hub for the fan that locks with a setscrew.

The first one was cracked where the setscrew goes in. I thought it would stay put with locktite on the screw, wrong.

I pulled a flange off another bad water pump I had. the flange did not want to go on the new pump, so I cleaned the inside with the dremel until it slid on, well I did not get it perfectly round and it would rock a little, well it came loose.

My hat's off to you for all the work you're putting into your 44. About 25 years ago I bought this 44 Special for $500, it was rusty but ran okay. I gave it a cheap repaint to make it look better without all the work you've put in yours. I turned around and sold it later for what I paid, had fun using it in the meantime.

at least you can find someone to work on radiators, it's a lost art around here. p.s. the last pics you posted it was looking pretty good, we need more pics. :)
