Wake up call............

We have a dermatologist in the family, and every couple of years lately I make an appointment to have him check my old hide over.

A couple of weeks ago, he found a spot that biopsied as squamous cell carcinoma, the second most common skin cancer after basil cell carcinoma. Squamous cell will metastasize, or spread to other organs. This spot hadn't, and he surgically removed it this morning. He got it all, and I'm clean, although I have a big bandage on my right temple, per the photo.

So if any of ya'll have a mole, or spot that doesn't look right, do yourself a favor and have a dermatologist check it out.

I go once or twice a year. It depends on what I or my wife see. I have places on my hands with one being deep and needed plastic surgery. My ears and nose catch the worst of it.

Hope you get healed up okay. I try to get my stuff taken care of in the winter so the sun doesn't bake the new skin. I kid my dr that I could use NH3 and do the same thing that he does with the N.

Glad they caught it in time!

Also don't forget to get that prostate exam if you are over 50. I was diagnosed 3 months ago, had surgery 2 weeks ago and am on the mend. Didn't think it could happen to me, no symptoms, caught when wife forced me to get a physical. I am only 56 years old...I will know within a few months if they got it all. So far everything has gone my way...hope it continues. Prostate cancer is the second leading killer in men after skin cancer.

When I had the dairy I did my own AI work for over 20 years. So burning off warts was never a problem....just pulled one of the empty semen canes and froze them off. At -320 degrees F, just a touch is needed.

A PSA test is part of the blood profile they do at the annual physical I have at the VA.

So far, my PSA has always been at the bottom of the range.

Looking at the photo I assumed you had gotten smart with someone and she got the skillet out.
I recently had a couple of tags (moles) removed with liquid nitrogen. Just in case.
