They were talking T-Storms for the Finger Lakes region where I am but it looks like that threat has diminished and the haze has just about cleared up. Who knows in a few hours?

I was in it's path this afternoon slightly north of Interstate 80 in Eastern Iowa. Basically north of Kinze Manufacturing a few miles. Blew hard for 10 minutes as the front went over. Might have been 60 mph. Hard rain - actually hard to tell as it was basically hortizontal. Then blew less, but moderately for another 10 minutes and then it was calm. Cedar Rapids really got it last night and I suppose it did more damage this afternoon there. I guess cars were floating down streets. When to Cedar Rapids this morning and I have never seen so many fields with yellow patches of corn - southwest of Cedar Rapids along the Swisher road. Most people in Iowa were talking about how dark green the corn is - not there. They must have been getting too much rain.

A vendor was on his way down from Ames, IA to meet
with me this week and called this morning saying he
wasn't going to make it. He had gotten a call from
his wife when he was halfway here telling him he had
a large tree come down onto his house and pool. Not
good.

I just talked to one of my tenants & he said Harlan got baseball size hail. We dodged the bullet on our Minden farms but I don't know about the one north of Shelby. Probably not good though.
