OT--Cheap Auto Comfort and Protection

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger with 82K miles and a 2008 Infiniti FX35 with 49K.
Both these vehicles still smell new and I attribute most of this because I have always used a windshield sun blocker on the inside.
Vehicle is much cooler and the dash is protected.
I VERY SELDOM see another vehicle with one in use and I consider it strange because it only takes a few seconds to install and take down and they are inexpensive.
Do you think using one indicates the car is owned by a senior citizen-- LOL?

Do you drive down the road with your left turn signal on and your seat belt buckle dragging the pavement too? LOL

Not Yet--or I don't think I do!

I'd better shut up. I drove quite a ways with my left turn signal on a few weeks ago. I wondered why nobody was passing me. I go to an intersection about 5 miles from where I had turned it on,went to turn it on and said WOOPS!

My '99 Buick Park Avenue has lots of cool luxury features. One of my favorites is a dash light and a buzzer that goes off if you leave your blinker on for over about 15 seconds. Now that's what I call a true "idiot" light, right there.

We used to joke about Nash Ramblers being mainly driven by old men wearing hats. There's actually a little truth to that line. Hudson merged with Nash in '55, later to become Rambler in '58. There were many reasons for the demise of Hudson, but one was the miserable failure of the compact Hudson Jet, introduced in 1953. It was actually a good quality car, and had the designers been allowed to go forward with their early renderings, it may very well have been a commercial success. But Hudson President A. E. Barit insisted that the roofline be raised 4 inches, so that gentlemen could wear their hats while driving the car. That, along with other changes forced on the design team by the top brass, resulted in a car that looked kind of silly, and had poor sales as a result.

As much as a new dash pad is for my wife's PT Cruiser, and our Suburban, we have them for both vehicles.....and we're still in our 40's so not quite to senior citizen status yet......LOL

My vehicles smell like a a combination of manure, transmission fluid, rotted McDonalds left overs and dog vomit. Will the sun screen help them regain that new car smell?

Signed, Anxious in Argyle.
