As you can see its a marvel schebler carb, the number you need should be on a round brass tag riveted on side of carb by the end of the throttle shaft!! Sometimes they are missing tho!!

If you have an 850 Ford that carb is likely to be one of a few carbs. Like a TSX813 or TSX977 or TSX662 etc. If you have an O'Reilly's auto parts store the kits they sell will fit all of those plus a good many others

Yeah, and the side view he posted is of the opposite site of the carb from where the tag or stamping would be!

IIRC in his other post he said the tag was missing. I"m wondering if any internal parts like a jet might have an ID number.

Some (probably later ones) didn't have a brass tag, but the ID # was stamped where the tag should have been (one the opposite side of the carb from his photo), so we will never know!

That's how a LOT of mysteries go on here... it's seldom anyone ever posts back with the extra information that could SOLVE these mysteries!

Hi All,
well thanks for the info, there are no #s on opposite side...:0),and yes we have orellys auto stores here..so I will try there..

o.k. guys here is pics of other side of carb..as you see this has no numbers..this is on a 1956,850 172 cu in gas ford tractor if this helps.
Thanks
p.s.
I will update as I find info...
