Got it home - pics

I posted a few weeks ago about a '58 MF 65 a fellow gave my son. All we had to do was get it off the ranch. No rubber and deep sand to complicate matters. Had to fix a a rim and get some rears. Then pull it over a mile in deep sand. Only had to dig out once. Needs carb cleaning, fluid draining and flushing, and wiring but otherwise looks pretty good.

This does not occur to most people, but you can weld the valve stem hole shut and drill a new one elsewhere on the rim where the metal is a little thicker.

Agreed. Especially since the worst rust is usually around the valve stem.

When the tire was apart it would have been a good time to finish sanding and painting the rest of the rim.

Looks like it's in pretty good shape & the rim came out fine. Good luck with the rest of it. I'll look forward to seeing it at Moravia next year.

yeah David, we're hoping it's ready by then. we'll have the Massey division. The moulton Jamboree is next for me.

What did you fix that rim with? Looks good from here.
Is that you in the last picture?
Tractor looks good and straight. Should turn out great!
