7700 johndeere tractor a/c

My ac is not cooling very well. Especially I the heat of the day. I"ve added 134a and can"t get my low side over 22. My high side is about 225. It isn"t fluctuating but when l bypass my high side and low side the pressure comes up to a little over 30 on low side and down to Round 50 on high side. Any ideas

Explain what you mean by "bypass"?

When is the last time you thoroughly cleaned the condensor and evaporator? A dirty evaporator is most often the cause of poor cooling if the pressures are close, and your low & high pressures look good. A dirty evaporator will cause both low side and high side pressures to seem low, many times causing over filling of refridgerant.

Owned a 7700 tractor from new. Never had a great air conditioner in my opinion.

She's plugged up.

Check the screen, filter, orifice tube......whatever they use in your system.

Have you changed out the recirculating filters beside the seat?? "Fixed" a lot of AC problems on this series of tractors without ever geabbing a gauge set. You have to be able to move the air!
