What is this weed

I found this in my garden and thought it was a watermelon. It is not. It has stickers and is not trying to put on runners. It has yellow blooms. I have never seen this kind of weed before.

I didn't bring up your pictures, but that sounds like a weed my Dad called "buffalo burrs". Anywhere he found one, he pulled by the roots, then put them in paper feed bags, and when dried he burned them. Hope this helps.

Can't put a name to it but be sure to pull that sucker out! My granddad used to run sheep and they brought them in in their wool and scattered seed everywhere. With the sheep gone they seem to be subsiding on there own. But it's no fun when you have to work in or around them, stickers that is, or sheep for that mater.Lol

I had a plant like that ans dug it up and burned it. It is Buffalo Burr ( nightshade) and if goes th seed it thruoghs of thousands of seed. Thorns can cause pain in pets and humans and is poisonous to cattle if eaten.

This is the first one I have ever see here in lower Alabama. I will pull it up and burn it, don't need that here. Thanks every one.
Just a pic in my back yard.

Texas Bull Nettles - at least that is what my family has called this weed for 4 or 5 generations. Not a clue as to proper name

Texas Bull nettle has a white flower. They are very nasty plants. If this is the first time you've seen it, you might be able to pull it up. Be very careful and wear thick, leather gloves. Tx. bull nettle spines have a poison on them which will burn and sting for 20 - 30 minutes. Spines will penetrate fabric. BTDT

We have bull nettle on our place in E. Tx. Decided to dig one up. Big, big, big thick root on that thing.

Started out with a regular shovel, then had to go to a sharp shooter. Root was still going. Got a tractor and a chain to pull it out. When I got it out root was 4 inches in diameter and 38 inches long.

We have had very good success killing them with GrazonNext.

You don't want them anywhere on your place.
