Columbine II

I spent time in the Navy with WV2's. They were sleek old birds. It was kind of exciting to get them off the ground in Sangley Point PI with the sea wall at the end of the runway.

I once rode an MATS Super Connie from Tachikawa AFB in Japan to Travis AFB outside of San Francisco, with stops at Wake Island and Honolulu.

Beautiful bird! That was in the days when seats were comfortable with plenty of legroom.

Good Evening Goose

I also flew in a Super Connie from Tachikawa A.F. B . in Dec. 1960 . I not sure but I think that we flew to Wake Island , then on to San Francisco . Wonderful old Airplane .
The very next day they started the Jet Service & they beat us to Francisco .
Never will forget that Flight.

Whether it's a Presidential plane or not, the fact that it's a Lockheed Constellation means that it needs to be saved. I grew up just a couple of miles South of the Lockheed Airport in Burbank, California and through connections that my Father had, we were invited to take a tour aboard the aircraft when Lockheed first debuted the Constellation passenger airliner. I still have my metal die-cast Constellation tie-tac that was given to everyone who took the tour.

Neat video and great airplane but after spending that kind of time and money making a video asking for money I think I would have made sure to spell Columbine correctly. :D

ive visited this plane a couple of years ago, this is truly one that needs to be saved! not only does it have historical value as a presidential plane but the plane itself is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built and not many survive today i think only 2 are still flying today
