The return trip

Got the load down to Wi. with no problems. One minor mishap while unloading, but no damage. Jim's loader didn't have enough reach to lift the top plow off while on the trailer. Had some trouble getting my 1030 loaded because another 1030 couldn't pull it on the trailer so we had to use 2 tractors. Once loaded the trip home went well. Got an average of about 8 mpg over 1,315 miles total from the v-10. Not bad I think considering the load.

With mileage like that pulling that much load, you're gonna tempt me in to a V10 next time instead of another diesel.

It looks like you made the most of trailer space both ways.

Bought a tractor in southern IA this spring, the guy wanted to fill my trailer with other stuff in the worst way. I was already on thin ice with the better half for bringing the tractor home, and nothing jumped out at me as a had to have deal. So I came home with room to spare.
I don't think the mileage was out of line at all. BW

I have a Ford v10 also. The loaded mileage is pretty decent in my book. Its the empty mileage that is scary...
