putting 2 way Hyd Cyl in place of turnbuckle

on 3pt from tractor to back of bale loader. Its a 2 prong thing like on a bale buggy. I don't have a 2 way cyl to measure, and havnt been around one in 55yrs, so I don't know if it will work or not.
It raises the forks to around 32in. when the lift is up and the forks are level to slightly downward at the tip ends.
In normal loading with forks down on the ground theres 21in from tractor to top of back support of loader.
From tractor to back of loader, with 3pt all the way up, theres around 32 to 24in from back of loader to tractor.
Id mount the Hyd Cyl in the same places as the leveler shaft is now.

Is that, as ive described it enough room to put a Hyd Cyl when down, and will it extend to the 32in when the arms are up and forks are tilted down?

Thanks for your answers, ahead of time.

Did that on dads White 2-85 with the bale forks. Same issue as yours, when it was level enough to get under a bale and lift it, then it sloped to the rear with the 3 point all the way up. Then the back end of the bale would hang up on any little ditch and unload the bale.

Greg, Ive seen that too with my boy driving his FILs little tractor. Near got him killed, as he didn't know he had lost the rear bale comeing out of a draw, and had a bale on the front end. When he tried to raise it high enough to load on a trailer, his rear end came up about 3 or more ft before he realized what was happening and set the bale down. I was behind him with my H and a bale on my bale buggy/

Im doing this on a 900 D Brown tractor. It has the 2 bottom forks on it like a bale buggy. NOT the center spike like on a hay spike.

Guys, WHY would I want to pay in round $300 for the hyd thingie, when I likely can find a 2 way cyl for around $80 at the auction I go to once a month. I wont need it till round the first of the year, so I got plenty of time to find one. Just need to know IF IO find one, it will be able to fit in to do the job I need, both retracted, and extended. Didn't know those things existed. Thanks for clueing me in.
