1475 new holland questions

Dad picked up a 1475 18' hydro swing, ordered a book for it but hasn't arrived yet. We have run a Macdon 5000 for last 20+ years, so this is a different animal. We had to put on a new suction hose.

Question 1) When we switched hose, noticed the hydraulic system on it is not vented, should the fill cap have a hole in it for a vent?

Question 2) It has a dual sickle that is bolted together in the middle and looks to have a wobble head on each side but is driven by only one side, is that the way they all are?

Question 3) To switch an outside sickle blade, do you bolt the sickles apart in the middle and then slide the head side out to switch out blades on the way outside?

Thanks for any information.

I am not sure about the venting, ours has no vent that I am aware of. The sickles are supposed to be separated in the center, and drive from each end. Yours may have been modified.... But ours has overlapping sickles in the middle, and they need to be timed so that they cut properly in the center where they overlap. This also requires special guards and sickle sections at the overlap point. Where there are two separate sickles, you can just take each one out the end where it is driven from.
