The first two pictures, "Battle of the Titans"? That's cute, so typical. And Yes, we do need more farm kids. Thanks for the pictures.

Those are some great pictures of your nephew. All are great but I think you should frame the first, middle, and last pictures.

A few years ago (4 or 5), I would hook up one of our Jersey calves and walk her down the drive and up the road. My brother would cringe when people would ask him about me out "walking my dog"! Today, that cow will walk right beside you without a halter or rope.

Excellent photos!

We have one of them. You can't drive her - you get a couple peices of bread of lead her. Biggest problem is when she is with other cows and you try to drive them and she keeps following you around disrupting the process.

Cute pictures but the kid needs SHOES to protect his feet for when the calf does finally agree to be lead. Learned that with my kids at an early age.

Looks like he is well on his way to calming that calf right down.
Only problem is he probably won't stop with just leading.
Here is a shot of one of our boys with one of there favorite cows.

Well....this one is different! You open the gate, shake a bucket, and she will be the first to come running! I just sold her to an Amish neighbor, and he says she is the best cow he's ever had. They like to tie them out along the drive (or road). He says she will walk right beside him like she was on a rope. When they get to where he wants her, THEN he puts a rope on her!

This 67 year old "big kid" would love to have a pet cow, but I think it would be just a little bit difficult to make a "house pet" out of her. Especially the part where it comes to training her to only go potty OUTSIDE! LOL! Besides, I don't thing she'd be too keen about jumping into the back of my pickup to "go for rides".

LOL!

P.S.: Back in '95 my female dog had a litter of pups, and one of the pups was Black & White spotted, so I named her "Moo Cow" and every time I talked to her I would say "Moo, Moo". The first time that she barked, she said "Grr-ooo, Grr-ooo"; never did bark like the other dogs - it was always "Grr-ooo, Grr-ooo".

LOL! Doc
