Hard rain here again today. Just got over 2 inches and looks like 3 or more today with more coming Sat. and Sun. Just lucky we missed the worst of it that went south of us or we would have severe flooding. Drove through Ia. and southern Mn. yesterday and they have a lot of water sitting in the fields, but at least they got mostly planted. Only about 50% planted in my area still.

yup rain again , got close to 180 acres within quarter mile of our house not planted , took seed back on tuesday , dealer named off many local farmers with not one single seed in the ground

Yes, pretty wet here also--right at 21 inches for the year(60 miles west of the twin cities).BIL several miles south of Montrose Mn. has only a third of his crops planted. Lots of farmers in an east-west strip in that area have little planted. Kinda glad I don't farm any more when it is like this, but I still miss it.

Soybeans could still be planted but it would have to dry out enough to do that before the first of July. After that, cover crops........

I"m an hr NW of MPLS, planted beans one year on June 30....earlier variety. Mom always said you could plant buckwheat in July. But who needs all those pancakes? We got 2 inches last night, 2.4 on Sunday, 1.4 a few days before.

Here in NW Pa. the woodchucks are moving out,
& even see a Large mouth Bass with a nap
sack headed to higher ground...

We are done now, 1/4 of my farm under deep water. Was skirting by with too wet but all planted, but 4.2 inches this morning, all done. Ditch as high as I ever seen, and still rising.

South central MN.

My son mowed his hay today. Made a few ruts, too! Hopefully we can get it all baled and wrapped Sat. before we get what you are getting now.

Out on the western edge of stearns county, here. We had another inch by noon today. Tornado weather just came through and dropped another half inch. Weather alerts were going off with tornados on the ground by Benson and Starbuck. We faired good here. We have been getting way above average rain, but haven"t been getting the huge amounts that have been flooding areas out. The moisture is great for me, Im on really light soil, but just north of here the soil turns very heavy and a lot is under water. Still waiting for that window to start first cutting hay.

We could do with some on our farm. We have had 5 inches over the last year. Normal is 22 inches.

No hope of planting a winter crop, usually canola, wheat and barley. (remember our seasons are opposite yours)
