We got slammed with a storm coming up from the South this afternoon, the generator ran for about 90 minutes. It is now heading back from the North just as hard. I do not think I have seen it switch that fast before.

We got more rain and wind again here in my part of MN, still lightening hard out there.

But sure feel sorry for those south of me, the tornadoes and the downpours. Man oh man, lot of damage out there.

How much rain did you get??? It hardly got the side walks wet here. We need rain here. The corn is starting to curl on the light soil yesterday and today. It has been several years since I have had corn this short suffer from dry weather.

We have not had a good rain in weeks. Just a few tenths here and there. That big front that gave you guys a few inches dropped maybe an inch on us.

I will take any rain we can get right now.

Where are you at in MN? Im in the SW corner. I was looking on Sioux Falls (keloland's) website...lot of flooding around that area, not good.

It was quite an evening, the TV issued a tornado warning, and listed the intersection right by our house as the path. The warning was cancelled one minute before arriving here.

Now a lot of rain.

Just went out and checked the rain gauge, two inches. We had some wind but no hail and the rain came slow enough I think most soaked in. I live in the SE corner of MN. Supposed to rain off and on the rest of the week, hard to get hay baled this year, about 90 acres left.

I'm in the middle of Minnesota east to west, in the southern part. Almost in the bend of the Minnesota river.

I have low wet farm, and I've gotten rain from each of the passing storms of late. Each storm has dumped on some area much much worse than me.

Have had several near misses with trees falling down all around the yard the past several storms.

But count my blessings, only lost a TV antenna and a gas barrel stand among the down trees.

More is forcast on Wednesday. I don't wish it on anyone, hope it is not my turn either......

We had high winds here, knocked the top out of the big maple by the garage. Some limbs off of the oak trees from the woods hit the roof 3 different times. Been running the generator now for about 1 1/2 hrs who knows when the power company will make it out here to trip the tub and reset the power line. All calm now, but we are inundated with night bugs. We usually get the big one around the fourth of July, hope not this time. No rain, just wind and lightning. So tomorrow out comes the chainsaw and chipper/shredder. May have to cut the big maple down,if so, it's firewood. Keep safe,
Regards,
LOU

I-29 south of Sioux Falls is still closed because of water over the road. Son north of town had 4.25 inches yesterday with 2.75 of that coming down in an hour.

We have had a little over ten inches in the past ten days or so west of Albert City. 4.3" last Saturday night and another 4.3" last night with something in the area of 1.5" before these two rains. A few miles north of us they had 6" last night alone with big hail and winds. Rain is forecast for the rest of the week. I estimate I have 25 acres under water out of 700 so I feel lucky in comparison. My problems are small compared to our neighbors in eastern Nebraska. Jim

Jim, I don't know what we got Sat. as I was in Kansas City (beautiful day there), but I dumped 4.5" last night at 9:30 when I got home, and dumped another 2" this morning. Little Sioux is out of the banks at Cherokee, and I heard that Akron is going under from the Big Sioux.
