About that Vicon

I didn't get a manual with that Vicon 321 discbine. They said the mice ate all of them.

I found the check plug in the back of the cutterbar. Takes the same Allen wrench as the plugs in the other gear boxes. It's on the back between the third and fourth discs.

I can't for the life of me find the fill hole plug though. Anybody got an idea where is might be?

Thanks a lot. That's similar enough that I saved it to favorites. It answered my question on the damaged rollers too. Apparently there's a kit available to repair those.

Randy- DO NOT PUT OIL INTO THAT THING UNTIL YOU FIND OUT HOW!!!!!!! Each of those cutter bars is a bit different, and the book tells you how. My old one had an end piece we took off, and let it drain overnite. Then, it only took a pint or so to fill the bar, even though it would hold more. Make sure you do this right- if you don't it can actually damage the cutter head and gear train....

Ya,I was surprised to see in that PDF file that's linked that it says to put a 14 inch block under the far end and let it sit overnight, then check it. Give the oil a chance to al run to one end.
I'm gonna call somewhere this morning and see if I can round up a manual for it.
