Old Popper or any of you guys in NW IA, have you seen that ol '48 John Deere going across the country in your neck of the woods. He was supposedly camped on a river bank last night near LeMars or Dakota City. He had not started or moved the tractor at 9:15 AM. Appears to be heading toward Yankton, So Dakota then into NE next week.

I have read many differnt stories about wounded warriors. Makeing there way in a movement for the Vets who got hurt in war. I have never heared about this one. Is it an old farm tractor that is goiing across the U.S.A to raise money torwards that purpose? I only ask because my dad is a wounded warrior from the Korean war. He still worked and pushed mail for many years not even telling any body about his trail. Like many of those who are they will never tell and till there asked. I only find out now after they brought out the news of that war what it was and the part he did when he was there.

That title may be misleading. This guy is going across america in an old JD tractor pulling a camper. He is not a veteran of the US military. He just felt it was his time to try to raise some awareness of veterans and what they have done for us. He departed from NJ in late April and made it to somewhere around LeMars, IA yesterday. He is not traveling today for some reason. He stopped at Hagie mfg in IA this week. The factory employees passed the plate and gave him 450 for the cause he is heading up.Every few days he has a meet& greet where he overnight stops. He comes up on google. That is quite the outfit he is traveling in.
