Danged satellite dish locked up off and on all last summer. It was good all winter after the leaves went off but for the last week or so,there were some channels that wouldn't come in at all. We took a few limbs off yesterday but it didn't do much good,so we got a little more radical this morning. It works now!

Mine is pointed just over a grove of fir trees, and of course, they get a little taller every year- I expect it to become a problem in a couple of years, and will have to figure out what to do, as I don't want to log the whole forest just to watch the Fox News babes.

When the house at the farm was built, there weren't any tall trees close so no problem with the antenna. Fast forward 45 yrs and lots of tall trees. Antenna works good in the winter, but once the trees leaf out, reception drops to zero.

We put a small antenna on the other end of the house, more out in the open and get most of the channels we want.

We will eventually move the larger antenna to the other end of the house away from the trees.

You are going to be really dissapointed when RFD sells their channel and doesn't exist anymore. They are for sale right now. Last month Glenn Beck made an offer on the channel but some government regulatory agency denied the sale because the channel is not allowed to change formats. Just don't be surprised if it doesn't sell to someone soon tho.

Meygan Kelly doesn't do it for me. Now Martha MacCallum, Andrea Tantaros, and the rest of the Fox News gals keep me tuned in. They are just all classier dressers and better looking than Miss. Metgan. JMO. You results may differ.

I watch most all of them for entertainment and it can be really amazing how blatantly pro regime the alphabet broadcasts are. At least Fox has a chance of giving you both sides of the story. And does it with some class, something people like Matt Lauer, Chris Matthews and Rachel Madcow can't come close to.

Is this what you're talking about?
This was the only story I could find that has RFD and Beck in the same story.
It only has to do with the Time Warner/Comcast merger and Beck whining as usual.

Beck mentioned it about two weeks ago. The Blaze had made two different offers on existing channels to get a foothold into the big three media giants. He said the reason the sale was not approved was because the regulator said the channel was not able to change format. He mentioned his offer on RFD by name. May not be the whole story but its what he said.

Just read the article, yes that's part of what Beck mentioned, he made the offer, it was denied for stated reason. He and others felt that the denial was because the agency was attempting to keep Beck from having his own network before the elections, with the fear that a greater platform might allow Glenn to impact the election in a way not positive to the regime That is why Ghomert was using that line of questioning.

For the most part,I sat on the loader tractor while the boy rode up in the bucket and ran the chainsaw. He showed up late enough though that he had to leave for work before there was any time to clean it all up. lol
