Hard water spots on auto glass

Use a good glass cleaner (your choice), wet the heck out of it and wipe with'00' (or extra fine) steel wool. HTH

Water/WD 40 and a razor blade. The liquid lubes it and the blade scrapes most of it away. Just use a new blade so of doesn't scratch the glass.

And now the fine print. TDF

"Do not use on windows, glass, or mirrors. Test in a hidden spot on polished or glossy surfaces prior to using."

Wisconsin Cowman has it. Vinegar will dissolve the calcium/magnesium, no elbow grease needed.

My wife uses vinegar & water for cleaning almost everything as I am allergic to the chemicals in commercial cleaners. If is really difficult, she adds some alcohol to the mix.
