Is it possible to change the oil pan on a 01 2500 4X4 Dodge with a Cummins without raising the engine? Thanks in advance, Chuck

Labor time is 7.5 for a 4x4 and 6.5 for a 2 wheel drive truck, so it sounds like u have to.

Pretty sure you have to lift the engine or drop the K member.

Look at the clearance (or lack of) between oil pan and crossmember. You will need to lift the engine at least 3-5", its not a real big deal to that though. Take the fan off and lift the engine with a hoist on the front eyelet. Watch the rear of engine and heater hoses so you don't lift to high and run them into the cowl. Once you lift the engine up the pan should fall out from the rear.
