Had 7+ inches of rain in the last 7 days. Some folks around us still have not planted a single seed, including a guy about 12 miles away with 800 acres and nothing done. I'm glad we got done what we did, but it looks bad for most of the rest. Jeff's peas/barley mix for forage should still be ok, and he only has a few rows of corn which will be silage, so he's ok. Not good for me tho, being my first year back after 15 with no crops of my own.

And I thought we had it bad. Not much done here until a week ago. Can't believe what got done in a week! Just no oats for me this year. Wheat crop will be marginal- virtually under water, or frozen solid, since it was planted.
You're still driving the "new" road tractor aren't you?

Sounds like here last year.
Things had dried out here in the heat so much in the last week that it was starting to make me nervous. We got half an inch today. Not enough to keep me out of the field for long, but enough to make me think it hasn't forgotten how to rain. If it doesn't rain a lot Wednesday,I should have the last of the silage corn in by the weekend.

Yes, but it's not new anymore. Got 190,000 miles on it before I get home day after tomorrow.

in central wis we got 4" sunday, prediction was for 1/2". everyone around here basically got finished up sat, after 7-10 days of good warm weather

Kinda mostly finished planting Saturday, but that included getting corn in the ground still.

Gotta hope for a decent fall.

Not as bad as others not too far away, count my blessings.
