This horizontal surface/workbench on a garbage can in my neighbor's shop was sagging badly towards the left of the photo, "til, in a brilliant feat of engineering in action, he propped it up with a stool that happened to be at hand and the right height!

That is depressing. It looks like it could be taken in my shed.

And that does really depress me.

Maybe get off the computer and go clean something......

(quoted from post at 13:33:34 06/02/14) What a waste of time. All he had to do is move the air hose over on top of the sander. LOL
understand! Move anything & you won't be able to find it. ....and at some point we will most likely reach the point of 'I don't give a sh!t'.

If he was a real engineer, he would have bought an ESAB stick, mig, tig welder. Then shim up with some 2X6s and finish off with cedar shingles for finish shimming.
Why use a five or ten dollar stool when you can spend $2500. Hold that thought, I forgot it in not a government project.

I am impressed and I see I'm not alone. That looks like my shop my barn my house my truck my--well I keep thinking I'll get it all neat when they throw dirt on me. Humm now I am depressed. Dang!

My garage is better organized but I don't have anywhere near as much open space as in the picture.

Flat surfaces were designed and intended to put stuff on.

like my shop, it has a lot of merchandise, supplies, and inventory....but NO junk!

ey, Virgil, I don't have any junk either........all my stuff is important........to me.

Looks like someone took a picture of my shop but on second look his is a little neater than mine right now.Now that the crops are planted and the hay is made I need to spend a day cleaning up.We never seem to have time to put stuff away but always find time to hunt for it the next time it is needed.LOL Tom

The table probably WAS clean when he started. Red Green would just tie all that stuff down with duct tape, to keep it from sliding off.

"There is considerable room for improvement in you amusement standards."

Yep, you"re RIGHT, Pale!

I can LAUGH/be amused at this for FREE.

Some folks (my wife comes to mind) can NOT have fun or be entertained unless it costs $$$$$.

Perhaps you two would get along well together????

welcome to my nightmare, this is how husband has the tool shed by the end of the day. i ask him how he can get anything done in that kind of environment and he says he can't. if i want to drive him nuts, i tell him i need something and would he get it for me. if he drops something, it stays there, he will sprang his ankle on it before he will pick it up. when he can't find something i tell him to just look on the floor. finally i tell him it's a safety issue. i hear "where's my glasses" so many times that even though he's looking for pliers, i reply " i don't know where your glasses are honey "

Looks a lot like my garage on a bad day, but the lighting in the picture is way better than what I've got.
