The truck has ran real rough at a stop light 3x now
and chugs at about 50 to 60 mph when in overdrive
(ocassionally) any ideas thanks in advance..

Best thing to do is have someone read the codes, then you have a fairly good idea of what is causing the problem. There are too many things that can cause the symptoms you are describing, and throwing parts at it until it runs right can get real expensive real fast. AutoZone if you have one close, will scan the codes for free, probably some other auto parts stores will do the same.

That sounds real familiar to what happened to my Dad's 2003 at about 120,000 miles. It would barely idle, and was noticeably rough at speed, too. It came on real suddenly. We took it to autozone and the scanner read off every code in the book. Unbelievable.

Something kept telling me it was a simple problem. I sprayed carb cleaner all around the engine compartment while it was running and quickly found a vacuum leak when the RPM's jumped up... Replaced a $3.00 hose with a hole rubbed through it way in the back of the motor, and the truck now is up to 165,000 miles with no trouble ever since!

I hope yours fixes up that easy...
