John Deere 4020 Roosa Master Injector Pump

We just had the injector pump rebuilt on our John Deere 4020. When we try to put it back on, it won't go all the way in leaving an 1/8th inch gap. We have all the timing marks lined up, but it still won't work. We have tried everything we can think of, Changing the Injector shaft, removing the rubber washers under the injector pump, taking out the spring underneath and moving the Flywheel. Help please!!

I've never seen any "rubber washers" under an inj pump. You aren't calling the cup seals on the shaft "rubber washers" are you??
