Dr. Walt, thanks for the information. I knew a lot of those chemicals were nasty stuff, but I did not know they were THAT nasty! I haven't bought any cleaner in large cans in some time now, I bought a can from NAPA a few years ago, used it one time and about a year later when I needed it the stuff had eaten a hole in the can and it was gone. Most of my repairs are small stuff like weedeaters and lawnmowers, so I just use spray cans, BUT, you still can't be too careful!
 
That is scary! Wonder if it's the same stuff made 20 to 30 years ago? I've had that splattered in my face, eyes, reached in the can desperately searching for the escaped metering rod... Guess God looks out for us fools!

Not all Parts Dip's are made the same. It's only the ones that contain CRESYLIC ACID that you have to be extremely careful with. BUT, by the very nature of the job that they are created for, ALL Parts Dip's contain very strong chemicals & solvents and you should wear Personal Protective Equipment when using them.
