Covert Ag to Auto Tire

I have 5209 IN disk bine,it has 9.5L-14 tires on it, does any one know the size car tires that will work on it. I know I need to buy Ag tire, but there is a junk yard that down the road, so I was thinking that maybe buy some car tires for the time. The tire have been on there about 20years. So I got my money out of them. I was hoping not spend to much money up front this year. I know I"m cheat.

Thanks" for help

Im not sure if you can find a conversion chart for that... I have a 73 Buick Regal that has 225/70/14's on the front and 245/60/14's on the rear. standing those up by a 9.5l 14 the 225/70/14 is a bit smaller but close... and the 245/60/14 is wider. I would say if you can find a 235/70/14 you would be right on, but a 225/70/14 would fit. Good luck! I have been pricing new tires for my Regal and only BF Goodrich even offers the 245/60/14's on the rear anymore.

Good luck finding good used 14 inch tires, I have 10 or 12 4, 5 and 6 lug 14" rims I need tires for. They are very hard to find and I aint buying new tires for equipment that just sits 95% on the time. I know I'm cheep too but whats a guy to do? Bandit

I agree with Bandit, I've got like 10 of the fat 14" rims. No tires. It might be easier to put a lower profile 15 on. 15's are getting hard to come by as well.

Thank's guy, may have to bite this one. It does sit 90% of the time. The Co-Op wants 105.00 each, those rims are deep dished. Called the junk yard no 14" tires and not many 15" also. I will look for some 245/70/14.

I asked a similar question and boy did I ever get an ear full about useing secound hand tires. You four must be the only ones besides me that can't afford to let tires rot before they wear 10% of tread. Anyway, what is the wheel width? Wheel width is measured from where tire bead rests against wheel. Are the present tires tubless? Is overall tire height critical? If so,what is the overall height of present tire? With that info I can give you one or more tires that will work.

The only real problem with putting a automotive tire on is trying to get narrow enough to fit on some things I'd rather run a truck tire than a multi rib any day but I road my equipment a lot some times 50 miles to different parts of my place

9.5 inch body width x 25.4mm/inch = 241mm. As others have said, 245mm is the closest size.

I can't help on the load rating or on which profile ratio will get you the same height. A radial tire might squat a little more than a bias tire. Adjusting your lift cylinder and stops might easily compensate for a slight change in tire height.
