Found this on the Home Depot website. Sale price is $299.00. 38 customer reviews with an overall rating of 4.7 out of a possible 5.0. Sample pics looked sharp. Can be set up so you can check system on your smart phone (don't have one) or computer. Opinions?

That is a great price, and Similar to the one I have, have been very happy with it, I can remotely access and it will also send you an email if a motion detector is tripped. For the price it is a really good system. Mine is 4 or 5 years old now.
 
We have a security camera that looks like a flood light. I have it wired to a VCR to record or to display the pic on the tv screen. The cost for the camera was about $100.00. I don't think they're available now. Hal
 
All systems work good. Swann and Samsung seem to have better and easier to use online config than some of the others if you are going to set up remote viewing.
 
Best not to do a system that calls the cops if the system is watching outside with a motion sensor- I'm told that its about impossible to get it adjusted to where every raccoon, wild pig and deer that happens by won't trip it, and the cops get tired of that in a hurry.
