1755: 540 to 1000 PTO

I don't understand how to change from 540 to 1000 PTO on my 1755. I bought the tractor at an auction; is there another shaft that has the 1000 spline stub on both ends?

Yes. You need to buy another shaft, and while the stub is out, you need to shift the pto. Lower right corner, loosen the bolt on the bottom and then screw another into the end of the shifter shaft and either pull it out or push it in.

First off,MAKE sure it even has the two speed in it.In that time frame(period),some dealers-farmers never got or ordered them that way (extras)to keep cost down.
