Zetor Tractor?

OK. I said I would never consider a tractor other then the big boys that I was used to (JD, Case, etc.). That being said, I found a 65HP Zetor with a cab and loader and 200 hours, that is exactly what I was looking for. There is a dealer within 2 hours of me. Am I crazy for considering it at any price?

There seem to be a lot of them sold here in the last few years'The buyers are mostly 'horsey' types('city'folks),businesses...Few to no farmers have them. How "good" they are,I have no idea.We have a stocking dealer here.IMHO,he is a crook. They may be wonderful tractors...But I wouldnt buy one

We have own 2 Zetor tractors. A 7011 which we never did anything but regular maintence. It was pretty good but when we resold it, we took a beating. We bought a 3320. Not so happy with this one. The brakes are a regular issue. The wiring is a total nightmare. I have spent most of this winter trying to redo the wiring to just get the basics. I have 2 large shopping bags of wire left over and I am not done. I can say it is very easy on fuel. Mostly for mowing and raking. I put a loader on this one, it has the hyd power but I need to get a lot of balast on the rear. I wouldn't but another.

Can't you find a Fiat built? I bought a 1365 Oliver a year ago February. I love that thing.
Where are you? There's a sale here in Mid Michigan coming up in the middle of June that has an Allis 6080 FWA and a Fiat 680 FWA on it. Loaders on both of them.

I had a 7711 cab and air. I liked it, the cab was nice and it handled well but I was the only one that liked it. I sold it and bought a White 2-105. It is noiseier(?sp) but more tractor.

The newer models are very popular in Europe among stock farmers who just want a basic tractor. They get a good name for reliability.....Trouble is, when they do break down EVERYONE hears about it, when the main brands break down....it is just something that could have happened to ANY tractor!!!!!! The only problem is(over here) If you buy one you drive it yourself. The young guys only want to drive tractors with power shift boxes and all the other bells and whistles!.....Good luck if you purchase........Sam

I have a 35HP Zetor built in India called a Zebra, bought it out of an estate real cheap because
most people were afraid to buy it for all the reasons you commonly hear parts, dealers etc etc adnausem.Anyway its been a great little tractor and its the easiest starting tractor Winter or Summer I have ever owned and thats a quite a few.
Very fuel efficient drives good.Only negative has been the wiring its not very good other than that I like it.

My son is a general manager for a big hay and spraying operation in SE Oklahoma. They have 3 Zetors, 2 with loaders and 2 with cabs and A/C.
He says the Zetors are pretty dependable tractors and if they do have a occasional breakdown, parts have been easy to get through the local NAPA store.

My neighbor has a Zetor cab tractor that he had so much trouble with the AC that the last time it failed he removed the doors from the cab. They are built in Brno, Czech Republic. US JD dealers did sell re-badged Zetor's a few years back but that didn't last very long.

I don't think so! I own a Long 900 witch is a Zetor 8011 and have had it for 5 years now and have had no problems with it yet. There is a Zetor dealer 23 miles from me to get parts from or anyone who sells A&I parts, so its easy to get parts for it. Very easy on fuel good hydrolics (3 remotes sets) and the 3 point will lift higher than any other tractor I have (great when loading round bales). It would not bother me to own another one if it comes along. If the price is right and you like it, Go for it, I really like mine ( wish mine had a cab). Bandit
